At Icon Dental Clinic, we are proud to participate in the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). CDCP is a new initiative designed to make dental care more accessible for Canadians who need it most. This federal program, launched in December 2023, aims to provide essential dental services to
- Seniors
- Adults
- Children
- People without private dental insurance
CDCP Phases
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is being rolled out in phases, starting with seniors aged 87 and older. It has been gradually expanding to include younger seniors, individuals with disabilities, and children under 18 throughout 2024.
By 2025, all eligible Canadian residents between the ages of 18 and 64 will also be able to apply.
Criteria
To qualify for CDCP, patients must meet specific criteria, including:
- Be a Canadian resident
- Having no private dental insurance
- Having an annual household income of less than $90,000
Services
The plan covers a wide range of services at participating dental offices like Icon Dental Clinic. These services include:
- Preventive care such as teeth cleaning and exams.
- Restorative procedures like fillings, dentures, and even root canals.
The purpose is to provide comprehensive care that addresses both the prevention and treatment of oral health issues.
